PICK OF THE WEEK: Austin Peralta @ Jazz Bakery
1976: At the age of 19, Stacy Peralta becomes the #1 professional skateboarder.
2003: Stacy’s 11-year old son, Austin, is awarded the Shelly Manne New Talent Award by the Los Angeles Jazz Society.
2027: At 7 years of age, Austin’s son, Hunter, solves the Goldbach Conjecture.
2051: Hunter’s 4-year old son, Tony, is a complete fuckup. The disappointed Peralta family teleports him back to 1961 Santa Monica where a young couple adopts him. Years later Tony will join the Zephyr Surf Shop skateboarding team.

Is the Great Northern still having FREE shows at the Echo? Good times a coming. I’ll be at the Rapture show tonight. Just seeing if they’re still playing there so I can see them next Monday.
Does anyone know if Lily Allen is also going to do a solo show? C’mon, who wants to see Camp Freddy live…
Of course, I’m not in a position to guarantee it, but Great Northern should be playing for free as well on the 27th, it being a residency.
Btw, the Slayer show at the Wiltern on 1/26 has not been confirmed yet and has been pulled from Ticketmaster.

Anyone know who the “Very Special Surprise Guests” are playing Spaceland on Dec 10? Tix are 20 bucks so I imagine it’s someone interesting.
Well, that is the night of a certain KROQ show. Maybe one of the Saturday performers are playing then. Hmmm…
