Love the Nietzsche Family Circus though!
Amazing show last night! What a blast!!! Scientology aside, he is a creative genius!
This was easily the best show I’ve seen all year. An amazing artist in his prime playing a small hometown venue in a non-corporate environment.
Big thanks to the Spaceland folks for managing ticketing so well. Heads up went to everyone 10 minutes before the onsale so everyone had a shot. And even if you missed that you had a chance to buy tickets at the door. Scalping was completely minimized. It’s a great model for this type of show.
So it looks like Justin Meldal-Johnson is back playing with him. One of the better rock bassists out there, IMO.
I would have loved to have hit this.

Ditto on JMJ, Pete. There’s a lot of noise and jumping around on that stage and he’s the one holding everything together.
What makes me kind of sad is these guys, no matter how talented, aren’t the usual dudes he james with. Where’s Smokey Hormel, Joey Waronker…are you NOT ALLOWED to hang out with them anymore Mr. Beck, or are they “busy”…
I meant to say JAMS WITH. I don’t know how you JAME with someone. Might be neat to find out.
