    Low canceled those Trouby gigs on 6/22 & 6/23, guys…I believe they’re touring w/ Wilco instead.

    steve, I’m guessing the email (that I was told about) will be sent Monday, and it will be about THE FRAY show and how you can fax in your orders before they go on sale to the public.

    No word on the Nickelback show it appears :(

    So “The Fray” is playing Sunday @ The Troubadour. I knew there was something fishy about that date…. Any word on Nickleback Frank or is Nickleback been changed to The Fray? You sound very excited my friend. Also, I think we can change “Linkin Park” to Arcade Fire now that we all have tickets I’m guessing.

    Spam? NME does have an L.A. office. Maybe one of their people got the e-mail too. You can tell there’s no other details besides the fact they are playing here. They also follow the Arctic Monkeys extensively. Only Losanjealous & NME have the story up. Nothing on Pitchfork, Stereogum, etc.

    Cripes. Okay I finally figured out that Nickelback &neq; Arctic Monkeys in terms of code (Frank your first post confused me; you’re talking to a math geek here). So… is Nickelback secret show still on or did this latest Monkey craze ousted that one?

    Apparently I haven’t earned the “regular customer” Troub status yet. I got no email either. :(

    NME was accepting submissions for regional correspondents awhile back. Whoever they chose for L.A. was a wise decision apparently. ;)

    I was at *cough**cough*Jet*cough**cough* @ The Troubadour last night and actually ordered the $5 french fries from someone claiming to be the chef there. It wasn’t one of the the bored, angry men; but a more cheerful middle-aged man. The fries weren’t frozen inside but they weren’t as crisp to my liking.

    When did Jet start attracting members of hair metal bands? For a while, I thought it was the Britny Fox and Enuff Z’Nuff show with all the long haired males around. I was even sitting near Vince Neil up in the balcony.

There is a quiet stillness in the wind on whether there is a “secret” Nickleback show today. I think one of the two bands for the CYP Anniversary show has to be The Teddybears.     I saw ScarJo last night as well and I heard her. She sounded okay — not out of tune at least, but nothing extraordinary from any other backup singer. I couldn’t understand why the camera guy was aiming at her thighs to show on the screen though. It wasn’t flattering. =P

    Nickelback was all right. I guess nothing about a secret show post-’chella? So it was only Sam’s DJing at the pre-’chella Filter Mag party, then? (Nothing interesting there, I preferred the DJ set by the Fields.)
