The Maccabees, from “Brighton Via South London”, made a solid LA debut Friday night at the Troubadour, opening for The Noisettes. The tunes, musicianship and stage presence are all in place for big things ahead for these lads. If the enthusiastic crowd response is any indication, they will be headlining that same stage and bigger in short time. -V.
What an awesome name for a band!
It’d be even better if they were all Jewish.
I guess we can all find out if Black Lips are in October if it’s anything like their previous live shows. . .
