Last week, Robyn played a special acoustic headline show at Spaceland’s Club NME night. Accompanied by just a keyboardist,the Swedish singer performed a selection of down tempo tunes from her current album. The crowd was loud and positive throughout the short set which, including the encore, clocked in at less than thirty minutes. After the expected request for “Konichiwa Bitches” was shouted by a member of the crowd, she apologetically remarked how sad most of the songs on the album are. Dance or no dance the crowd seemed like they still enjoyed every bit of her performance. Robyn ended the night with her now-signature rendition of Prince’s “Jack U Off.”
