Official program intro by Ed Reyes after the jump…

Dear Friends:

Welcome to the 64th Annual Northeast Los Angeles Holiday Parade!

This year’s parade, themed The Colors and Spirit of the Holidays, brings together community groups, schools, businneses, agencies and people from all walks of life. Through the parade, we celebrate the holiday season, as well as the rich cultural history of Northeast Los Angeles.

Thank you to the many parade volunteers, staff, community organizations, and sponsors who make this event possible. I also thank the people of Highland Park for their hospitality to visitors throughout the years.

As the Councilmember of the City’s First District, I applaud you for your dedication to strenghtening our community and wish you continued success in all the years to come.

Happy Holidays!

Sincerely,

ED P. REYES
Councilmember, First District

Dude, freakin awesome pictures of the parade. I was driving a rickshaw down the middle of Figueroa, so I didn’t get to see everyone else’s stuff in the parade. Thanks for posting these!
