No, this isn’t a giveaway for ride on a time machine dialed back to that great decade, but a chance to see 1990s, the band. (Surprisingly Googleable–try it)
1990s are a fun Glaswegian trio with a new record out on Rough Trade. They’re making their LA debut with a pair of shows: this Sunday 8/5 at the Echo headlining for Part Time Punks and Tuesday 8/7 at the Troubadour opening for Robbers on High Street.

St. Vincent is the solo project of Annie Clark, sometime member of The Polyphonic Spree and veteran of Sufjan’s touring band.
If you haven’t heard her stuff, she cobbles together these great whimsical tunes with all manner of nice electronic and organic textures piled on. Check out her MySpace for a few tracks. Should be a great intimate show, this Saturday, 8/4 at The Echo.
