Reader Picks ‘07: Your Favorite Taco
We’ve a wealth of material to get through before year’s end, to be sure. Thus far we’ve asked for your take on the best individual concert, festival, breakfast and parking spot, and you have responded accordingly. While those polls remain open and incredibly active, at this time we’d like to find out what you consider your favorite taco in Los Angeles. Feel free to go granular and categorize by type as well as purveyor, i.e. “asada @ estrella – HP location #3 – but not that damn pastor” … Multiple votes are allowed so vote now, twice more this afternoon, and two dozen times after this evening’s tacos.
UPDATE, 1/02/08: Polls closed; results now online.
Don’t see your fave on the list? Add a taco to the list using ‘Add An Answer’ if it’s not already there, so others can vote on your choice. Elaborate on your choices in the comments when necessary, and lobby others for their votes.
Refresh by clicking ‘VOTE AGAIN’ and vote as many times as you like; if you go to that much trouble to champion your cause, chances are good you mean what you say. We won’t tell a soul you’re stuffing the ballot box.
Thank you for being a part of Losanjealous Reader Picks, soon a perennial classic on bookshelves nationwide.

I went to a few of these Taco places this week.
I agree with the majority thus far. Taco’s y Mariscos el Numero 1 is the best in town. I was pleasantly surprised. Great Asada, chicken, Al pastor, even good ceviche and awesome fresh salsa. it’s a truck on Westchester Parkway just off of Sepulveda Blvd.
Second place should be Tacomiendo, great Taco’s, fresh meat, home made tortillas.
Cactus in hollywood were pretty good too.
Tito’s is in a league of their own, not quite authentic, but I like the heaps of cheddar cheese.
I have a bone to pick with ya’ll who voted for Sabor a Mexico in Culver City. I had not been here before and was excited to find that’s it’s less than a mile from my house…. But their tacos were Horrible! chicken, asada, al pastor, veggie (cactus, and potato w/ corn) all of these tacos were close to inedible. store bought tortillas fell apart and the meat was obviously not cooked to order. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever period.
how could this be number 3 on the poll?
I’ll try more of them next week.
thanks for the research drek. keep it coming!
My favorite taco is the Pink Taco (|)
