Kaiser Chiefs Return To Town: Win Tickets to “Rockville” Daytime Taping @ Echo on 11/12 (Wednesday)

The Kaiser Chiefs are returning to the Fonda next Tuesday. The following day (11/12), they will be performing at the Echo for a special taping of “Rockville” … wait…what the hell is “Rockville”?

TheWB.com – a premium, ad-supported, video-on-demand, interactive and personalized network – today announced the cast and the first group of bands to be featured on “Rockville, CA,” the music-themed scripted web series created by Josh Schwartz (”Gossip Girl,” “Chuck,” “The O.C.”). Production on the show began earlier this month at The Echo, a popular club and indie music venue in Los Angeles.

“Rockville, CA” will premiere on TheWB.com in 2009 with an initial run of 20 episodes. Each band featured on “Rockville, CA” (the series) will play a set at Rockville (the fictional club in the show), against the backdrop of a weekly episodic scripted drama.

(…) Leading the pack of indie favorites scheduled to appear are The Duke Spirit, Eagles of Death Metal, Earlimart, Frightened Rabbit, The Kooks, The Little Ones, Lykke Li, Nico Stai, Passion Pit, Phantom Planet, and White Lies. Additional bands will be announced in the coming weeks.

So there you go. Who wants to attend a taping of Rockville featuring the Kaiser Chiefs? Officially they’re taping two songs, but who’s to say they don’t go crazy and play a bit longer. Still, as this taping is at noon, don’t expect a full show (you can find that at the Fonda on 11/11). Again: there are no tickets for sale.
