Prog rock fans take note: Steve Howe, Chris Squire and Alan White will be joined by vocalist Benoit David and keyboardist Oliver Wakeman, son of Rick Wakeman, at an arena or casino near you this summer. The tour kicks off June 26 out in Indio (anybody headed out to Indio this weekend, by chance?) and wraps up August 2 up in Bethlehem, PA. Steve Howe will perform with both bands on this tour. In a not altogether unpuzzling turn of events, Hot Hot Heat will play a free show at everybody’s favorite Vegas-sized mall The Grove™, tomorrow evening, for the Canadian Board of Tourism. We’re told the show kicks off at 745 pm (Serena Ryder opens) with British Columbia’s own Hot Hot Heat purportedly taking stage sometime after (HHH’s official website has the show starting at 630pm, further adding to our overall confusion about the affair). Go Canada! You have been duly advised.

Lucky Los Angeles. The first two dates sold well, we’re now getting a third Yaz date at the Orpheum in July – this one preceding the first two. At press time roughly half the Yaz USA tour now takes place in Los Angeles. Fan Club presale begins Wednesday, March 26 at 10am, so good luck.

Wondering what Andy Bell’s doing while Vince is out on tour with Alison? He’ll be touring with Cyndi Lauper and working on a second solo album.
